Vaping’s popularity has spread faster than a thin cloud of vapor. As of 2018, an estimated 41 million adults across the globe have purchased vape-related products.
No doubt you’ve heard about this popular new trend. And whether you’re looking to quit smoking or you just want to see what all of the fuss is about, you’re sure to find something about vaping to enjoy!
But by the same token, entering the wide world of vaping for the first time can be downright intimidating. Not to worry, we have all the info you need!
Keep reading for a quick guide on vaping for beginners.
Finding Your Rig
Thanks to vaping’s widespread popularity, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a place to purchase a rig. Even your local gas station should have a basic Juul starter kit!
But before you drop your hard-earned money, you’ll want to do some research.
For one thing, you get what you pay for. If you buy a cheap rig, you’ll end up having to replace it sooner, which ultimately makes ‘cheap’ rigs more expensive in the long run.
By the same token, you’ll need to find the right rig for your needs. If you’re just looking to vape as a hobby, for instance, you won’t need anything with a big battery or interchangeable parts. But if you’re looking to join the competitive scene or you want to experiment with different cloud sizes, you’ll want to choose a high-powered VV/VW rate.
Choosing a Juice
There are thousands of different flavored juices to check out, and you can even save cash by making your own DIY concentrates once you get the hang of the world of vaping!
All juices contain a combination of PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerin). Juices with a high level of PG offer a stronger draw, however, it’s easier to burn them and ruin their flavors. VG, on the other hand, has better burn resistance but leaves a bigger mess in your tank.
Don’t forget to check the nicotine content of your favorite juice, too. If you’re trying to quit smoking, you’ll want to gradually decrease the amount of nicotine in each juice you purchase.
Tips for Cleaning
Once you’ve used your rig a few times, you’ll start to notice a change in flavor. This means you’ll need to check your coil and tank.
Fortunately, cleaning a vape rig is easy, as almost every rig on the market features detachable parts.
You can clean your tank using soap and warm water. Just make sure it’s dry before your next use.
On average, you can expect to change your coil every week or so. Older coils produce burned and bitter-tasting juices, so trust us when we say you’ll know when it’s time for a change.
